About Me
I grew up in Seattle, Washington where I took Suzuki piano lessons starting at the age of six. By middle school, I was playing piano national guild auditions each year and was ranked within the top couple percent of students my age in the country.
After receiving substantial music and academic scholarships, I attended Northwest University where I received a BA in Music, studying classical piano and jazz guitar. I played in many ensembles during this time including rhythm section for a vocal jazz group, a swing band, and a wind ensemble.
Now, I occasionally perform for weddings and events, but my real passion lies in teaching. I have taught hundreds of students over the years. I love seeing the joy on a student's face when they can play their favorite Taylor Swift song or finally tackle a challenging Bach invention.
